But these are the same settings that I used before on this PC and also the same settings that I am using on my Notebook on which I do not have the problem. Avast installs the SafePrice add-on alongside Online Security. I have Norton Internet Security and I contacted them and they said it is the pop/smtp settings for my ISP account that are not working. I have contacted my ISP but they cannot find a reason for it. But the Internet Security Warning still shows up when I re-load Outlook. The target principal name is incorrect.' I click on 'View Certificate' and install it using the Certificate Import Wizard and it reports that the import was successful. Change your Avast settings in the user interface. After I re-enabled protection, Avast went ahead and started updating signatures without issue and has been running fine since then. There never was any message from Avast in my systray that Avast was disabled. I dont know how long protection had been disabled at that point. This will disable messages, popups, and alerts in Avast. Then Avast pops up and has a message that protection is disabled. Go to Settings>General and check the box for Silent/gaming mode. You can also access this option within the main user interface. I recently re-installed Windows 7 on my desktop and now, every time I start MS Outlook, I get an 'Internet Security Warning' saying that 'The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified. Click on Silent/gaming mode to turn it on. I have had MS Outlook working fine on both my desktop & notebook PCs.
